Protecting Your Smile With Digital X-Rays
Longview Family Dental uses state-of-the-art digital X-ray equipment to get a closer look at your teeth and gums. Dental X-rays are used to pinpoint problem areas of your teeth and gums. We get the big picture of your mouth and teeth considerably faster which helps us protect your teeth and preserve your smile for years to come.
Digital X-rays use 90% lower radiation than traditional dental X-rays. The digital files are much larger and clearer, allowing our dentists to view the most tiniest amount of tooth decay. Our dental software also allows us to enlarge and adjust the brightness and contrast for better viewing. Digital images are stored at our office and copied to a backup storage system off site for protection and safety.
Digital X-rays of your teeth allow us diagnose dental problems you may have, such as:
- Tooth decay
- Improper teeth alignment
- Fractures in fillings
- Bone loss
- Tooth nerve infections
- Abnormalities in tooth development
- Root problems
We use digital dental X-rays to design types of dental treatment that will fit you best, such as oral surgical treatment, root canal procedures, dental implants, tooth extractions and more. These digital files can be copied, printed, and e-mailed to dental professionals for dental a consultation.
